THE SCOUTS COOKING SKILL TEST 

On the 19th of January a Scouts cooking skill test was organized by the !st Poona Troop. Fifteen patrols attended the test. Each patrol had to prepare lunch for themselves. Each patrol arrived with vessels and ingredients They started chopping the vegetables and preparing the dishes. The teachers helped them to start the fire. It was a great experience to watch the boys cooperating with each other and helping each other. At last the dishes were ready .We were extremely happy to see that the dishes were not only prepared very well but were also arranged and garnished with delicacy. The patrols had prepared a variety of dishes including pav bhaji, pizzas, chicken, noodles etc. A panel of judges including the troop leader, Asst.troup leader, the scout master and a few teachers confirmed and appreciated the good work of students. Marks were allotted according to the taste and the arrangement of the food layout. The entire St Margarets ground looked like a military camp. A special part of this test was that parents were also invited to help the children and it was great fun to watch them interacting with the children. All good things come to an end. My patrol was declared the best and It was a wonderful experience I would like to thank our scout Master Mr J.Baskaran for organizing this test. It was thoroughly enjoyed by the boys. I hope we will have many more in the future.

19 जनवरी को स्काउट कुकिंग टेस्ट स्काउट कुकिंग स्किल टेस्ट का आयोजन सेंट-पूना ट्रूप द्वारा किया गया था। पंद्रह गश्ती दल ने परीक्षण में भाग लिया। प्रत्येक गश्ती दल को अपने लिए दोपहर का भोजन तैयार करना था। प्रत्येक गश्ती जहाजों और सामग्रियों के साथ पहुंचे उन्होंने सब्जियों को काटना और व्यंजन तैयार करना शुरू कर दिया। शिक्षकों ने उन्हें आग बुझाने में मदद की। लड़कों को एक-दूसरे का सहयोग करते हुए और एक-दूसरे की मदद करते हुए देखना एक शानदार अनुभव था। अंत में व्यंजन तैयार थे। हम यह देखकर बेहद खुश थे कि व्यंजन न केवल बहुत अच्छी तरह से तैयार किए गए थे, बल्कि उन्हें व्यवस्थित और नाजुकता के साथ गार्निश किया गया था। गश्ती दल ने पाव भाजी, पिज्जा, चिकन, नूडल्स आदि विभिन्न प्रकार के व्यंजन तैयार किए थे, जिसमें जजों का एक पैनल, जिसमें सेना के नेता, अस्स्ट.ट्रुप नेता, स्काउट मास्टर और कुछ शिक्षक शामिल थे, ने छात्रों के अच्छे काम की पुष्टि की और उनकी सराहना की। स्वाद और भोजन लेआउट की व्यवस्था के अनुसार निशान आवंटित किए गए थे। पूरा सेंट मार्गरेट मैदान एक सैन्य शिविर की तरह लग रहा था। इस परीक्षण का एक विशेष हिस्सा यह था कि बच्चों की मदद करने के लिए माता-पिता को भी आमंत्रित किया गया था और उन्हें बच्चों के साथ बातचीत करते हुए देखना बहुत मजेदार था। सभी अच्छी बातों का अंत हो जाता है। मेरी गश्त को सर्वश्रेष्ठ घोषित किया गया था और यह एक अद्भुत अनुभव था कि मैं इस परीक्षा के आयोजन के लिए हमारे स्काउट मास्टर श्री जे.बस्करन को धन्यवाद देना चाहूंगा। लड़कों द्वारा इसका पूरा आनंद लिया गया। मुझे उम्मीद है कि भविष्य में हमारे पास और भी बहुत कुछ होगा।
