INTER SCHOOL CRICKET TOURNAMENT 2012 - 2013
As a young cricketer I always dreamt of playing for my school team and captaining it. School cricket is the first step in a cricketers life. I was happy to know from our sports teachers Mr Deshmukh and Mr Shinde that I would be captaining the team We selected a talented group of boys who were practicing cricket daily in their academies and we would additionally practice at school. This year Our under-12 team all got in the act, worked as a team and we won the Under-12 trophy for the school.
In the league matches we won against S.S.P.M.S School and Kataria High school both with a good cricket history and finally we met J.N Petit school in the finals .We won the toss and elected to field and restricted JN Petit to 76 runs, we managed those for the loss of 4 wickets.
The main strength of our team was our batting and our opener Sumedh Shah played brilliantly in all the matches. His total tally was 103 runs. He was supported by myself ( 63 runs ) and few other batsmen like Prithviraj Oswal. Our Bowling attack was spearheaded by myself and Dhruv Dandekar who bowled a tight line and length we were supported by Sumedh Shah, Adarsh Chaube and Ansh Oswal who was the most succesful bowler with 5 wickets.
I am also proud of our other players name Ninad, Rishab Oswal, Shadab & specially the reserve players like Vedant, Yash Rangarajan, Raghav Goel who supported us from outside and cheered us till victory. They should not loose heart as they will be playing for the school in the next academic year.
I am happy that our school has always supported sports activities and thank Mr. Freese for his support and promise we will excel better next year. All my school mates would also be happy to know that myself, Karthik Natarajan and Sagnik Mukherjee (all Bishopites) have been selected by the coveted Cadence Cricket Academy - Pune for professional cricket coaching .We are blessed to have been coached by Mr David Trist (former coach of New Zealand and Netherlands Cricket Team) Mr. Surendra Bhave West Zone national selector and Mr. Marshal Pathak Cadence coach, Sagnik Mukherjee was selected for Maharashtra Under 14 team this year. I have my personal goals to play for the state in the next 3 years and eventually for the country one day.

एक तरुण क्रिकेटपटू म्हणून मी नेहमीच माझ्या शाळेच्या संघाकडून खेळण्याची आणि तिची कप्तानी करण्याचे स्वप्न पाहिले. शालेय क्रिकेट ही क्रिकेटर्सच्या आयुष्यातील पहिली पायरी असते. आमच्या क्रीडा शिक्षक श्री. देशमुख आणि श्री. शिंदे कडून मला आनंद झाला की मी संघाचे नेतृत्व करणार आहे. आम्ही त्यांच्या अकॅडमीमध्ये दररोज क्रिकेटचा सराव करणा मुले या मुलांचा एक प्रतिभावान गट निवडला आणि आम्ही त्याशिवाय शाळेतही सराव करू. यावर्षी आमची अंडर -२२ संघाने सर्व कृती केली, एक संघ म्हणून काम केले आणि आम्ही शाळेसाठी अंडर -२२ ट्रॉफी जिंकली.
लीग सामन्यामध्ये आम्ही एसएसपीएमएस स्कूल आणि कटारिया हायस्कूल या दोन्ही संघाविरूद्ध चांगला क्रिकेट इतिहास जिंकला आणि शेवटी अंतिम फेरीत आम्ही जेएन पेटिट स्कूलला भेटलो. आम्ही नाणेफेक जिंकून क्षेत्ररक्षणाची निवड केली आणि जेएन पेटिटला 76 धावांवर रोखले, आम्ही त्या संघांना व्यवस्थापित केले. wickets विकेट गमावल्यास आमच्या संघाची मुख्य ताकद आमची फलंदाजी होती आणि आमचा सलामीवीर सुमेध शहा सर्व सामन्यांमध्ये शानदार खेळला. त्याची एकूण संख्या 103 धावांची होती. त्याला मी (runs 63 धावा) आणि पृथ्वीराज ओसवाल यांच्यासारख्या इतर काही फलंदाजांनी साथ दिली. आमच्या गोलंदाजीचा सामना मी आणि ध्रुव दांडेकर यांनी केला आणि सुमेध शाह, आदर्श चौबे आणि अंश ओसवाल यांनी line गडी राखून सर्वात यशस्वी गोलंदाजी केली.

माझ्या सर्व शाळेतील साथीदारांना देखील हे समजून आनंद होईल की मी, कार्तिक नटराजन आणि सगनिक मुखर्जी (सर्व बिशप्ट्स) यांची निवड व्यावसायिक कॅडिंग क्रिकेट अकादमी पुणेने केली आहे. श्री डेव्हिड ट्रिस्ट (माजी) यांनी प्रशिक्षक म्हणून घेतल्याबद्दल आम्हाला आनंद झाला आहे. न्यूझीलंड आणि नेदरलँड्स क्रिकेट संघाचे प्रशिक्षक) श्री. सुरेंद्र भावे वेस्ट झोनचे राष्ट्रीय निवडकर्ता आणि श्री मार्शल पाठक कॅडन्स प्रशिक्षक साग्निक मुखर्जी यांची यावर्षी महाराष्ट्र अंडर 14 संघात निवड झाली. पुढील years वर्षांत राज्याकडून आणि एक दिवस देशासाठी खेळण्याचे माझे वैयक्तिक लक्ष्य आहेत.
