A BROKEN FENCE
It was a normal day as any, When I walked to the shed I put the key in the ignition And the helmet on my head.
I backed out very slowly Then drove into the backfield The tires hit the pavement And the four-wheeler slowly stopped.
I knocked upon the wooden frame Of my best friend's front door She put on the helmet, then held on tight As I sped up a little more.
We laughed and bumbled atop the machine Then tried to slow down for a stop I hit the throttle instead of a brake And over the hill we flew.
My friend's helmet flew off going over the hill And mine when we hit the fence She fell off and was lying still by the bush I leaned beside her, this is not making sense.
Only five minutes later, the ambulance came And I wasn't allowed to go with her I was scared for my life, when tears filled my eyes I realized then it was too late.
She'd escaped death's grip but the damage was done And it should have been instead Standing here today I look sadly her way As we stand BY THE BROKEN FENCE.
एक BROENEN बाड़
यह किसी भी दिन की तरह एक सामान्य दिन था, जब मैं शेड के लिए चला गया तो मैंने इग्निशन में चाबी लगाई और मेरे सिर पर हेलमेट।
मैं बहुत धीरे से बाहर निकला और फिर पीछे के मैदान में चला गया। टायर फुटपाथ से टकराया और चार पहिया वाहन धीरे-धीरे बंद हो गया।
मैंने अपने सबसे अच्छे दोस्त के सामने के दरवाजे के लकड़ी के फ्रेम पर दस्तक दी, उसने हेलमेट लगाया, फिर कस के पकड़ लिया जैसा कि मैंने थोड़ा और ऊपर किया।
हम हँसे और मशीन से टकराए और फिर एक स्टॉप के लिए मैंने धीमे चलने की कोशिश की, मैंने ब्रेक की बजाय थ्रोटल को मारा और पहाड़ी पर हम उड़ गए।
मेरे दोस्त का हेलमेट पहाड़ी के ऊपर से जा रहा था और जब हम बाड़ से टकराए तो वह गिर गया और जिस झाड़ी में मैं उसके पास झुका हुआ था, वह अभी भी पड़ा हुआ था, इससे कोई मतलब नहीं है।
केवल पांच मिनट बाद, एम्बुलेंस आई और मुझे उसके साथ जाने की अनुमति नहीं दी गई मैं अपने जीवन के लिए डर गया था, जब मेरी आँखों में आँसू भर गए तब मुझे एहसास हुआ कि बहुत देर हो चुकी है।
वह मौत की चपेट में आने से बच गई, लेकिन नुकसान हो गया था और यह बजाय यहाँ होना चाहिए था आज मैं उसके रास्ते दुख की बात है जैसा कि हम ब्रायन बाड़ से खड़े हैं।
