A HUNT 

The tiger lay in the tall grass

Waiting for his to pass 

His gaze as still as a boulder on a mountain His body calm like a Yogi's , waiting to enlighten . 

The sun set in the western sky 

The day bade the forest goodbye 

In the chaos of animals the tiger waited 

For the deer to come his way after they rejuvenated . 

The tiger had waited for an hour to steer Waiting for a sambar to venture near 

To show his royalty on a kill 

And also for his stomach to fill . 

The blades of grass were still as a crocodile at rest 

As though trying to pass a stillness test . 

Then very carefully the tiger moved his front paw 

Placing it carefully without any flaw 

Coming closer to the planned prey 

To make it his dish served as though in a tray . 

Then a sambar crossed the concealed tiger The chances of his survival were meagre 

The tiger pounced using his hind limbs to spring For the deer the death - knell began to ring .

In some distant part of the forest the animals scattered

The wings of frightened birds fluttered 

The silence yet concealed the thrill

That a tiger had finished a kill.

एक हंट

 बाघ लंबी घास में लेट गया

 उसके गुजरने का इंतजार है

 एक पहाड़ पर एक शिलाखंड के रूप में उसकी निगाह अभी भी योगी की तरह शांत है, जो आत्मज्ञान की प्रतीक्षा कर रहा है।

 सूर्य पश्चिमी आकाश में अस्त हो गया

 दिन ने जंगल को अलविदा कर दिया

 जानवरों की अराजकता में बाघ इंतजार कर रहा था

 मृग के बाद उनका कायाकल्प करने के लिए अपने रास्ते पर आने के लिए।

 बाघ एक घंटे तक इंतजार करता रहा और इंतजार कर रहा था कि पास के एक सांभर का इंतजार किया जाए

 एक मारने पर अपनी रॉयल्टी दिखाने के लिए

 और उसके पेट भरने के लिए भी।

 घास के ब्लेड अभी भी एक मगरमच्छ के रूप में आराम कर रहे थे
