"A person without a sense of Humour is like a wagon without springs. It's jolted by each pebble on the road". Humour is the tendency of particular cognitive experience to provide laughter and provide amusement. With humour we lighten up each day and we find common ground with others. Humour can be used for bonding, releasing tension, putting a rival in his place, or entertaining a child.

It has as many functioning and styles as there are variations on the light bulb joke. Good humour is a tonic for mind and body. It is the best antidote for anxiety and depression. It is a business asset. It attracts and keeps friends. It lightens human burdens. It is the direct route to serenity and contentment. Through humour one can soften the worst blow that life delivers, and once you find laughter, no matter how painful your situation might be, you can survive it. Humour is an essential skill required to communicate with others. A few well-chosen words can garner huge attention or shy and quiet, humour can be adjusted to suit our personality. Too much humour may often annoy others. But and when we maintain our sense of humour, we look for good in others and in ourselves. To ensure that humour is welcomed by others we need to combine our humour with speaking how clearly and listening effectively. Having humour helps us keep our perspective, stay focused. stay responsive to others and resolve differences. Much of our humour comes from reconnecting to our playful inner child.

Hence, it is rightly said by Mark Twain, "Humour is mankind's greatest blessing".

Green cover is disappearing at an alarming rate and the common man and the big industrialists are making damage to the environment with each passing year. Clean City, Clean India,- Green World The In today's rapid rat race for development we have forgotten that we must give twice to the nature as much as we take. Especially in a city like Mumbai where development is the middle name of infrastructure. A single tree suffices so many of our needs but how many of us realize that when one fine day this resource of trees will perish their selfless service to us we will be left empty handed and staring into a blank future. It is very important to make people aware of the green colour that has been disappeared. Fighting major issues like global warming by taking small steps like planting trees is also equally important.

Parents and schools must ensure that maintaining a clean and green environment be a priority for children. We must emphasize for a clean and green India by first recycling and cleaning. Every page we come across is full wonders and mysteries. Life is not dull and monotonous any longer. Books form the means by which a student can embark upon a journey of fantasy mystery and adventure. 

Reading broadens our outlook and drives away narrow prejudices. It also broadens our mental horizon which often elicits warm compliments from teachers while writing an essay or speaking at a debate. Reading gives us intellectual as well as spiritual satisfaction. Poetry stirs our imagination while literature encourages intellectual activity. 'A book is a device to ignite imagination'. - says Alan Bennet. While reading, the reader forgets his own personality and existence for some time and totally fits into the character. It is sad that today's media threatens one of the greatest comforts and privileges of a civilized society-the joy of reading. For nothing, so advanced in technology can replace a printed book. AN EXTRAORDINARY STORY OF AN EXTRAORDINARY GIRL

Recently, I introduced myself to an extraordinary girl called Malala, through a book: I AM MALALA. This book is an autobiography based on the real life story of MALALA YOUSAFZAI from Swat, Pakistan. Malala was born to Ziauddin Yousafzai and Toor Pekai Yousafzai. Due to her parent's unconditional love, Malala grew up to be a confident young girl, but when she was about 11 to 13 years Pakistan was under the control of the Taliban with Fazlullah as the leader. The Taliban did not approve of girl child education and believed that all girls should cover their faces as per Pakistani tradition. Anyone found not following these rules was threatened. Malala entered various competitions where she gave speeches which were against the Taliban. She also appeared on news channels and protested for girl child education. The Taliban learnt that Malala was speaking against them and that she was not covering her face. They decided to threaten her but that very evening the ISI, ordered the people to leave the valley as they had decided to encounter the Taliban. Malala and her family headed for Shangla, her mother's village. After several years people returned back to Swat and lived their peaceful lives as the Taliban had been driven out of Swat by the army. Malala too returned and started to go toschool again. But one tragic day as Malala was returning home from school in her school bus two masked men stopped the bus, entered it and asked, "WHO IS MALALA?". All the girls were quiet but they were staring where Malala was seated. One man pulled out a gun and fired three bullets, one of which went right through Malala's forehead. Malala was in a serious condition so the doctors advised her parents to shift her abroad for further treatment. All the money Malala's family earned was from the fees of the students studying in Khushal School, but many people within and beyond Pakistan had contributed generously as they were impressed by her and they did not want to lose an inspiring youth icon of the futa Quickly Malala was shifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, London. After her operation she insisted on going back to Pakistan, but her father made up excuses as he did not want to lose his beloved daughter. At present Malala stays in London and has received the NOBEL PEACE PRIZE award. I assure you this book is a must read as it truly inspires us to believe in ourselves.

 हाल ही में, मैंने एक पुस्तक के माध्यम से मलाला नामक एक असाधारण लड़की से अपना परिचय दिया: I AM MALALA।  यह पुस्तक स्वात, पाकिस्तान से MALALA YOUSAFZAI की वास्तविक जीवन की कहानी पर आधारित एक आत्मकथा है।  मलाला का जन्म जियाउद्दीन यूसुफजई और तूर पेकेई यूसुफजई से हुआ था।  अपने माता-पिता के बिना शर्त प्यार के कारण, मलाला एक आत्मविश्वास से भरी युवा लड़की बन गई, लेकिन जब वह लगभग 11 से 13 साल की थी, तब पाकिस्तान तालिबान के नियंत्रण में फजलुल्लाह के नेतृत्व में था।  तालिबान ने बालिका शिक्षा को मंजूरी नहीं दी और माना कि सभी लड़कियों को पाकिस्तानी परंपरा के अनुसार अपना चेहरा ढकना चाहिए।  इन नियमों का पालन नहीं करने वाले को धमकी दी गई थी।  मलाला ने विभिन्न प्रतियोगिताओं में प्रवेश किया जहां उन्होंने भाषण दिए जो तालिबान के खिलाफ थे।  वह समाचार चैनलों पर भी दिखाई दीं और बालिका शिक्षा के लिए विरोध किया।  तालिबान को पता चला कि मलाला उनके खिलाफ बोल रही थी और वह अपना चेहरा नहीं ढँक रही थी।  उन्होंने उसे धमकी देने का फैसला किया लेकिन उसी शाम आईएसआई ने लोगों को घाटी छोड़ने का आदेश दिया क्योंकि उन्होंने तालिबान से मुठभेड़ करने का फैसला किया था।  मलाला और उसका परिवार उसकी मां के गांव शांगला के लिए रवाना हुए।  कई वर्षों के बाद लोग स्वात में वापस आ गए और अपने शांतिपूर्ण जीवन जी रहे थे क्योंकि सेना द्वारा तालिबान को स्वात से बाहर कर दिया गया था।  मलाला भी वापस लौट आई और फिर से स्कूल जाने लगी।  लेकिन एक दुखद दिन के रूप में मलाला अपने स्कूल की बस में स्कूल से घर लौट रही थी, दो नकाबपोश लोगों ने बस को रोका, उसमें प्रवेश किया और पूछा, "WHO IS MALALA?"।  सभी लड़कियाँ शांत थीं लेकिन वे घूर रही थीं कि मलाला कहाँ बैठी हैं।  एक व्यक्ति ने एक बंदूक निकाली और तीन गोलियां चलाईं, जिनमें से एक मलाला के माथे से लगी।  मलाला गंभीर हालत में थी इसलिए डॉक्टरों ने उसके माता-पिता को आगे के इलाज के लिए उसे विदेश भेजने की सलाह दी।  मलाला के परिवार की कमाई का सारा पैसा खुशाल स्कूल में पढ़ने वाले छात्रों की फीस से था, लेकिन पाकिस्तान के भीतर और बाहर के कई लोगों ने उदारतापूर्वक योगदान दिया था क्योंकि वे उससे प्रभावित थे और वे फैंस के प्रेरक युवा आइकन को खोना नहीं चाहते थे।  लंदन के क्वीन एलिजाबेथ अस्पताल में स्थानांतरित कर दिया गया।  अपने ऑपरेशन के बाद वह वापस पाकिस्तान जाने की जिद करने लगी, लेकिन उसके पिता ने बहाना बना दिया क्योंकि वह अपनी प्यारी बेटी को खोना नहीं चाहता था।  वर्तमान में मलाला लंदन में रहती हैं और उन्हें NOBEL PEACE PRIZE पुरस्कार मिला है।  मैं आपको विश्वास दिलाता हूं कि यह पुस्तक अवश्य पढ़ी जानी चाहिए क्योंकि यह वास्तव में हमें खुद पर विश्वास करने के लिए प्रेरित करती है।
